Brown Sugar Buttons

Well, I feel bad that I haven't posted since Sunday. It has been a super busy week for me. I went to the Creative Sewing and Needlework Festival on Sunday and worked on a Bunny Rabbit Halloween costume for the daughter of one of the Girls at Work.

The Big Man and I are on Holidays this coming week. I wish I could be packing for a cruise somewhere but alas hard work is planned. We are doing a severe kitchen makeover which should take us all week.

BROWN SUGAR BUTTONS

I thought I'd leave you with a quick and EASY cookie recipe I found in my Canadian Living magazine. Sometimes they include little cooking pamphlets; this one was by "Simply Homemade".

Recipe here: Brown Sugar Buttons

My only suggestion is to bake them for about 12-13 minutes. I've already made the recipe twice and will keep it in my collection of favourites.

Don't forget to follow Lauren from The Blonde Excuse and her fellow "What Now Wanderers" on their exciting journey.

Oh no, you have posted the recipe. Did you not promise me that you would never tell me the recipe if only to save me from myself. Oh my gosh...well, now I am just going to have to bake a batch for myself. Because those cookies are like a little taste of heaven in every bite. :-)

Hi Everyone....Thanks for the good luck wishes on the Kitchen. We are progressing nicely.
All the cabinets are off, sanded and the backs have been sprayed with the first coat of paint. Yuck, melamine, STINKY!
Let me know how the cookies go. Catch up soon!

i just had to let you know that i really enjoyed the cookies. i only had enough ingredients to make a half batch but i think i got 1 1/2 dozen cookies out of it. next time i make them i want to add some chopped pecans to the batter. i'm thinking this reminds me of a cookie that i loved as a kid and i think the pecans might be what they need to make them what i remember. i'll have to let you know how they turn out. thanks again so much for posting the recipe. i've shared it on my blog too. have a great day.
